Previous transfercar relocations have been great. But A Rentals were difficult to deal with, not recommended. I requested only fuel included options, they said I had to pay, but did finally allow it. A bond of $1025 was taken on my credit card, I've never had that before. Then only $1000 was refunded. The Queenstown depot is miles from the airport and buses, but they would not give me a ride to the airport even though they were going to pick up other clients.

The companies should be more realistic on the fuel compensation. 1 tank for 1600km is not enough. In the end, the companies are still making profits.

Things were done very well, only thing I could think of is that just check what is on the advice tht goes to the rental company when the booking is accepted by the client. The staff I went to to pick up the car from were thinking I had to pay for the petrol but when I said no they quickly checked, apologised and said all clear, all good.
