It was not possible to rebook the same offer 3 times as suggested as all the other offers had less favourable terms. Then, after the vendor accepted an offer without a free tank of petrol they also went and added on $300 - all this on the day we needed the vehicle.

The only thing that I learned afterwards is that it take some time to get the bond reimbursed and wasn’t sure if this is normally the case with all rental transactions. Apparently it’s the bank, however any high street retailers can reverse a transaction in seconds. Would be good to be aware of this as I had to call the rental company back to find out what was happening. Otherwise all good and everything else was pretty streamlined and the vehicle was tops.
