I don't know if it was Transfercar or Avis, but Avis never sent me a confirming email despite sending one to them when the confirming email didn't arrive. When in Alice Springs I went to Avis the day before I was due to collect the car and the Avis lady said she had no record of me picking up a vehicle the next day. I then booked a Saturday flight back to Adelaide because I had to be there for work Monday. Very unsatisfactory and expensive. So, how can you do better - I have no idea because I don't know what your arrangement is with the rental car people you deal with.

You let the customer know the amount of bond to be held. Quite a shock at the $3000 expected on Jucy. Says it will be held but not the amount

There was an issue with the software when transferring the information ie the requested dates when the car rental company did not get back to me and I had to re request the car. It did not copy the original dates and so was a day out. I sent a message about this at the time. Otherwise a great experience as usual.

For the part of transfer car, it's fantastic, easy and efficient. But should be more control with the actual rental car company. The car was late released for more than half an hour. Customer service of thrifty also mediocre.
