Just on drop off, we dropped off earlier before the drop off location was open. That has been a week now and we have not had our $500 deposit returned. Other than the email to rate the experience I have had no correspondence and am currently overseas so can't call. I was told the refund would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days i thought.

The process was seamless - very good. My only issue was that I was driving the car from Wellington to Auckland and was given one day to do it. It's too far to drive that distance safely on your own, so I wanted to share it with my wife, but then I had to pay to add her as a driver. Given that only one person can drive the car at any one time, how does having an extra driver add to the risk? It seems to be simply revenue raising. At one level I don't blame you for that as business is business, but when insisting on a very long one day drive, the rsik would surely be greater if one person was behind the wheel all that time.

insurance is covered by the rental car company if you read the small print and then the rental car company charges you for more insurance which is a bit of a scam
