Budget rentals required a utility bill or similar with an address in order to use a debit card. This was not specified, neither was the fact that the cost to reduce excess on the vehicle did not include GST. I am going to need to have a discussion with them on the specified number of free kilometres also. Transfercar did well, Budget needs to do work.

The service is all good when a car is available. Unfortunately not many cars from Wellington to Christchurch or Picton to Christchurch.

Better communication with your rental companies, budget overcharged and I’m still trying to clarify things with their branch manager in Auckland. I held up my end of the contract , they did not. Very disappointed
